Another self-portrait session working on all my ideas for maternity photos that I can squeeze in while I feel well enough to do so. It's a lot of work and often time sweat doing my own photos, and thankfully on a couple of these images, the full length shots, my husband was able to assist me in getting the dress spread out at the bottom and getting the camera lined up to get the whole full body shot, so I wouldn't have to try and do both myself, if you can only imagine a pregnant momma trying to bend over to spread out her own dress and make sure the camera is totally lined up to get the whole length of it. Yeah, right! I have a hard enough time tying my own shoes anymore, and don't even get me started on how difficult it is to shave anymore lol. I have a long list of maternity photo ideas, but time will tell how many I accomplish. I am having fun with my own sessions, and can't wait to do more maternity sessions for clients! I have truly fallen in love with maternity photography. I want to try as many of my themes/ideas as I can, but often times I am burned out or too crampy to go forward with them, and the posing has become more and more increasingly difficult for me, which has also taught me a lot. During my first pregnancy I would have been able to do any maternity poses, including the ones laying down or sitting on the ground, and then some, but this time around that is just not going to happen. My current pregnancy has been taking its toll on me, but I remain positive and still find ways to enjoy it. I think that is important. My first couple clients I took maternity photos for were also able to do any poses I asked of them, so until now, I would not have known how challenging it can be for some women to pose and keep their energy up during a photoshoot while pregnant. This is something I will definitely keep in mind for future clients, and will understand firsthand how to support the mommas that either do well with posing or that might struggle or hurt during the shoot. So on to the images! :) Thanks for checking out the blog/images. If you like what you see, feel free to share! Word of mouth is always greatly appreciated! My family and I had a nice day out at Eagle Island State Park on Mother's Day. I wore what I refer to as my 'Betty Crocker' dress. The pattern reminds me very much of the red and white textured pattern on the old Betty Crocker cookbooks. We took some time to get a couple family photos, and enjoy the awesome Spring weather. Afterwards, we got some peach pie and the funny movie, Daddy's Home, to take home and watch. Follow me at these websites too!
www.idahochildrensphotography.com and www.allisonattitude.com Follow on social media: I first met Bethany Spring of 2015. My husband and I were looking to buy a home. We were engaged and knew we would be starting to grow our family shortly after marrying, and we definitely would need more living space. Bethany met us to show a couple model homes, and was very friendly and professional from the get go. We were indecisive about what we wanted, and of course wanted more space than we could afford, and kept going back and forth o a couple different floorplans. We put off the decision until after we were married, so we could have a few months to think about what we wanted to do. She was patient. Then, in September of 2015 we contacted her again to list my home for sale, and pick up where we left off with choosing a home to be built. We were anxious through the selling process of my home. We went through winter with our things packed and ready in case the home sold, meanwhile working on getting the new home decisions made, such as choosing a lot, colors, floorplan, etc. Through it all we changed our minds a couple times but Bethany was always friendly and patient. Our new home was finished in March this year. At the time of closing and getting the keys to our new home I offered Bethany a session as a gift for her kindness and professionalism towards us throughout the whole process of selling my home and getting us into a new home. Here are a few of her photos from her session, which we took some headshots she needed and took a few for fun. She was great to photograph. She has such a lightness about her and friendliness that shines through. If you or anyone you know is ever in the market for a new home, I would totally recommend her! Thanks again Bethany! We are loving our new home! Follow me at these websites too!
