Maternity Fine ArtIt's a vulnerable thing to do, to take self-portraits, which I have done many times, but these feel so much more intimate to share, my changing belly, a changing shape, and exposed. But pregnancy is so sacred and beautiful, and to share a full and round pregnant belly as it is, I think is lovely and can be done tastefully and elegant. This is my belly, carrying my sweet baby girl. I will be 30 weeks in one more day. This is my attempt at a black and white fine art series of belly images. I love experimenting with my lights and camera. Today I had some quiet time around the house to do just that, and I am so glad I did, because I know someday I will look back at these belly photos fondly, and I hope someday my daughter too will find them precious. I have grown to love maternity photography more and more since I began taking maternity photos last September. I hope to continue trying different types of imagery as I progress in my last trimester of pregnancy. My absolute favorite shot is the middle image. It makes me swoon.
