My family and I had a nice day out at Eagle Island State Park on Mother's Day. I wore what I refer to as my 'Betty Crocker' dress. The pattern reminds me very much of the red and white textured pattern on the old Betty Crocker cookbooks. We took some time to get a couple family photos, and enjoy the awesome Spring weather. Afterwards, we got some peach pie and the funny movie, Daddy's Home, to take home and watch. Follow me at these websites too!

The Traveling Dress ProjectHere is a new video published by Animoto about the Traveling Dress Project. Two of the photographs I took of model, Laura Mason wearing the dress are in the clips. It's such a neat project. Can't wait for the book to be published! All proceeds go to Operation Smile. It's really neat to see all the different ways this dress has been photographed. Here is the link to watch the video: _https://animoto.com/blog/photography/traveling-dress-project/ I am so excited that Woman of the Abyss photography got to be part of this worldwide photography project that benefits Operation Smile. It's a fabulous and creative idea. Here are a few of the many shots I took of the beautiful antique gown along the Snake River in Kuna, Idaho. Follow more of Woman of the Abyss here: and Outdoor Maternity Photo Session in Boise, Idaho by Woman of the AbyssDanielle and Brian are expecting their baby girl very soon! I am so excited for them! It's their first child.
Danielle and I met earlier this year over the phone. I was calling around looking for a travel agent to help me plan my wedding/trip to Hawaii. Danielle quickly became my go to girl. She has been to Hawaii numerous times, loves weddings, and is passionate about her career and traveling. She is always sweet and professional. When my husband and i went to her office to fill out some paperwork and pick up out flight schedule it was quite obvious that she was pregnant. We talked a little about her pregnancy. I wanted to offer her a photo session right then and there, but I hadn't done any maternity session for anyone at that time, yet. More time passed, my husband and i flew off to get married in Hawaii, and all the while she called to check on us, make sure everything was going as planned. When I returned her and i talked on the phone some more, and I told her how adorable she is, and that i would love to offer her a maternity session. She had been thinking the idea over, and so within a few weeks we planned a session. We had a lot of fun. She showed up looking absolutely gorgeous with her handsome husband. Her dress was a flowy, beautiful handmade dress. I was so excited. We could flip her dress! The shoot took place at Veteran's Memorial Park in Boise, Idaho. Needless to say it was a peaceful and happy shoot. Thank you so much Danielle and Brian, and welcome to your new adventure of parenthood! |
